Present condition of the school

 We should Specially mention the role of present principal

Mr.A.R.W.M.M.R.Amarakoon who shoulder off immense task for the betterment

of school.

 From 2012 onwards the school is being developed as a secondary school.

Therefore we have classes from grade 6 to 13.Among the resources available there

are more than 10 building including computer laboratory, a library, an English

activity room, a science laboratory, an Aesthetic unit, a home science unit, and

recently added Mahindodaya Technical Laboratory. There are certain occasions

that teachers themselves shed their labor in the development process of the

school.The principal and the teachers as well as Non-academic staff execute their

jobs with great interest.The students are always directed to take maximum uses of

the resources available to improve their talents and skills.It is proved obviously as

they have excel their talents almost in every field including English, Dancing and

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL.

         It’s pleasure to bring you a bit of information about B/Boralanda Dharmapala V. which is situated in Badulla District of Uva province.

    It was started on tha 6^th January in 1965 and named it as Boralanda school.Necessary equipment was borrowed from B /Wangiya Kumbura M.V.Mr.W.M.S.Wijesekara who had worked at B/Wangiya  Kumbura  M. V.then ,was appointed as acting Principal of this  school.

  Necessary Furniture including 60 primary desks,20 tables,a teacher’s table,chair and black board with a frame were allocated  from W/ Wangiya Kumbura M.V. under the directives of school inspector. Then a pirith ceremony was held with participation of twelve  “maha sanga”.

     The following morning, the school inspector Mr. sarath senanayaka ceremonially opened school by lighting traditional oil lamp and  the letters were read to the little children by reverend maha sanga.It’s mentioned in the log book that total number of students were only 39 at the beginning.
